LG is a South Korean consumer electronics and home appliance industry, founded as Goldstar on October 1958 the name changed from Goldstar to LG electronics in 1995, it was later reincorporated in 2002.
LG was founded by Koo In-Hwoithe original Goldstar), the company is headquartered at Yeouldo-dong, Seoul, South Korea.
LG products includes; Televisions, table computers, smart watches, home appliances, office appliances.
LG products are served worldwide, all over the world including Nigeria on Deluxe.com.ng. As at 2016, LG recorded a number of 75,000 employees.
LG Electronics produced South Korea's first radios, TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, and air conditioners in 1958.
In 1982 Rapid growth by globalization made the company establish its first overseas production, based in the United States. In this same year, LG Electronics acquired the US-based TV manufacturer Zenith.
In 1995, LG Electronics made the world's first CDMA digital mobile handsets and supplied Ameritech and GTE in the US.
The company was also awarded UL certification in the US. In 1998, LG developed the world's first 60-inch plasma TV, and in 1999 established a joint venture with Philips – LG. Philips LCD – which now goes by the name LG Display.
