Recording Full HD Videos
- The EOS 500D combines outstanding photo performance with the ability to record Full HD (1080p) video. For occasions requiring many sequences to be stored on the memory card, users can choose to record in 720p or VGA resolution. An HDMI connection allows High Definition playback of videos and photos on any HDTV.

High ISO setting for low light conditions
- When available lighting decreases, the EOS 500D offers a sensitivity range of up to ISO 3200 and can be extended to ISO 12,800 for environments where flash use is impossible.

DIGIC 4
